The Ministry of Environment manages our province's diverse landscapes and our renewable natural resources in a manner that supports a healthy environment, a growing economy and strong, vibrant communities.

The Ministry Plan for 2012-13 demonstrates how the Ministry aligns with government’s vision and goals and presents a high level framework for the Ministry’s activities in 2012-13. Contained in this plan are the strategies and actions that will be pursued in the upcoming year, measures to gauge progress and a financial summary.

The 2010-11 Annual Report presents the ministry's activities and results for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2011. It reports on public commitments made and other key accomplishments of the ministry. The Annual Report is tabled in the legislature on or before July 29, 2010 and communicates both financial and non-financial results achieved over the past year.

Saskatchewan is adopting a new, results-based model for environmental regulation that will improve protection of the environment, while promoting innovative new tools in environmental management, including the Saskatchewan Environmental Code. (Read more)

As a key step in its shift to a results-based approach to environmental regulation, the Ministry of Environment is pleased to offer the draft Saskatchewan Environmental Code, the first of its kind in Canada, for public review.
