Conservation officers are uniformed law enforcement personnel within the Ministry of Environment that are responsible for protecting the environment and ensuring our province's natural resources are used in a wise and responsible manner. They promote compliance of environmental legislation through a combination of public education, prevention and the enforcement of natural resource law. Conservation officers often work outdoors, frequently in isolated and wilderness locations and by themselves.
