The Fort-a-la-Corne Planning Area is 132,502 hectares of forested land, located approximately 40 kilometres east of the City of Prince Albert. It is an island forest, surrounded by agricultural land and close to several larger communities, including the cities of Prince Albert and Melfort. An integrated forest land use plan is being developed to provide a framework for resource management decisions about this well-utilized area.
